Training & AKC Evaluations
At Ember Paws Dog Training, we offer a wide variety of training from basic obedience for pets all the way to task training for service dogs. Just like people, each dog has different methods of learning so we choose to use balanced training methods with preference in positive reinforcement and relationship building, to train the dog in front of us, based off of their own personal needs and learning styles. By determining your dog's learning style, we are able to use all four quadrants of operant conditioning into our training, which may or may not include the use of prongs and e-collars used in a safe and effective manner.
We strive not only to train your dog, but to train you the owner as well so you can maintain your dogs important training skills for the rest of their lives.
A consultation is required for all dog training clients prior to the first training session. During this consultation we will discuss your dogs lifestyle and behavior at home as well as your long term goals and what you'd like to achieve with our dog training services. A consultation fee will be charged for each consultation.
Pricing for basic obedience private training sessions are for an hour long and done in the comforts of your own home.
For private Service Dog training sessions and minimal behavioral management training sessions are done in the comforts of your own home. All service dogs who pass our training program will receive a free program patch and life time training assistance.

In addition to training services I am also an AKC certified evaluator for AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy classes and tests, CGC classes and tests, and AKC Trick Dog titles.

**WE DO NOT TRAIN OR CERTIFY EMOTIONAL SUPPORT OR THERAPY DOGS**
All cancelations for private training sessions must be made more than 48 hours before the start of the scheduled training session. Sessions that are cancelled by the client within 48 hours of the scheduled training session, will be charged a last minute cancellation fee which will equal the cost of the missed training session.
